Five years ago Amanda Pierce was excitedly preparing to marry her college sweetheart in a lavish ceremony at The Grand Victoria Hotel in Palm Beach. Then, with their guests and families on site, Amanda disappeared.

In present-day New York City, Laurie Moran realizes a missing bride is the perfect cold case for her investigative television series, Under Suspicion. She and her team set out to recreate the night of the disappearance at the Florida resort with Amanda’s friends and family in attendance, hoping to shed new light on the mystery as the series has done in past episodes. With a jealous sister, playboy groomsmen, Amanda’s former fiancé now married to a bridesmaid, and rumors about the “beloved” bride herself, Laurie and Under Suspicion host Alex Buckley quickly realize everyone has a theory about why Amanda vanished into thin air.

One thing is certain: whoever was behind Amanda’s disappearance plans to keep the truth hidden “until death do they part…”

Review

This is going to be a pretty short review but I supposed this is one of those moments that I don’t know what to say, lol. All Dressed in White is a story of a bride who vanished the night before her big day. Hmm, sounds like she just had a cold feet eh?

This book, just like the rest of her books that I’ve read before, had me in circles. I don’t know how many times I’ve changed my mind about who’s the suspect, lol. Even how many times I’ve put this book down (I blame it to my oh-so-tight schedule, urgh!), it still manages to get my attention just by reading the first paragraph!

I love the twist and I love the fact that Mary Higgins is still pretty good in creating characters that will make you believe that they’re the bad guy. Man! I’ve been reading books from hers since forever but I’m still pretty bad at spotting the bad guy lol.

I love this book, so why 4 stars? I have to say that it’s because of Alex. Huhu, Alex and Laurie have a very good chemistry together that eventhough it’s been a long time since I’ve read the previous book from this series, I’m still affected by it. It’s just so sad that we won’t be seeing Alex in the next book, but I’m sure he’ll come back, *wink.

But I guess the consolation that I’ve got is that there’s still more from this series for me to read plus I love the happy ending. Aside from MHC’s exciting who-dun-it, what I also love about her books is the happy ending. And yep, All Dressed in White didn’t disappoint at all in that department.
