Queen Coriane, first wife of King Tiberias, keeps a secret diary—how else can she ensure that no one at the palace will use her thoughts against her? Coriane recounts her heady courtship with the crown prince, the birth of a new prince, Cal, and the potentially deadly challenges that lay ahead for her in royal life.

Review

I was really a bit furious after finishing Red Queen, so when I’m done writing my book review about it, I immediately acquired a copy of its next book which is the Queen Song. And dang! I was surprised because I thought it’s going to continue what the first book left off. It could have been disappointing on my part but when I found out who’s going to be in it, my curiosity level just spiked high.

As you can see above, this book is only a very short read. So you could really finish it in just one sitting. This book was an ultimate #tbt of Coriane, which was the first queen and the mother of Cal. In this story, we are introduced to Coriane; on where she came from and how she became the queen. And it’s not just that, we were also given an overview of Cal’s grandfather’s life especially his lovelife that I find amusing. What was that? Read it for yourself ;P

Just like the first book, this book was also full of suspense and action-packed scenes considering how short it is. It also has very easy to understand words and I was really glad that the author created a story that talks about Coriane, because atleast now, some of the puzzle that I had before about the main character’s life was finally answered. Now, I am looking forward to knowing more about Mare. So book 2, get ready ‘coz I’m coming, haha.

This book was also properly written like the first book and I salute the author for being so consistent in using easy to understand words.

Overall, this book is a great read and is really worth your time. Highly recommended!
